Berlin Workshop (Sept. 20th-21st 2025)

€389.00

If you share my passion, or even if you're new to capturing precious moments in the streets, you now have the chance to join one of my workshops and learn directly from me. I visit Berlin several times a year because it's my favorite city in Germany, unlike any other place I've been.

During the workshop weekend, the Berlin Marathon takes place, offering the perfect opportunity for great photos. The city is bustling with people, and there's always something happening.

Since it's Marathon weekend, the town will be crowded, and hotel prices may rise. I recommend booking early to avoid any inconvenience.

Workshop Overview:

In my workshops, I'm here to help you elevate your skills. We'll start by reviewing your portfolio to understand your current level, and together we'll identify areas for improvement. I'll then provide specific assignments to focus on during the workshop.

„Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity“

You may have heard this famous quote from the Roman philosopher Seneca, and it remains relevant to street photography. And my goal is that after attending the workshop you find luck everywhere you go. 😉

We’ll discuss gear, and I’ll share practical tips for settings to help you achieve the best results and stay prepared. This includes techniques for quick, accurate focusing, a common challenge for many street photographers. Additionally, I'll teach you how to approach strangers on the street and get close to people, overcoming any "approach anxiety."

Workshop Schedule:

  • Friday (optional) 8pm-10pm

If you're already in town, we can meet up, and I can review your portfolio to understand what you can work on to enhance your skills. It's not required, but it would be great if you could make it.

  • Saturday 8am-6pm)

We’ll meet at 8am for our first shooting session. After a lunch break, we’ll continue shooting until 6pm. If you're still up for it, we can chat about anything on your mind.🙂

  • Sunday (7:30am-4pm)

We'll meet early in the morning to shoot as the runners prepare for the Marathon. Expect total chaos and plenty of great moments to capture. During lunch, I'll provide feedback on your work from the previous day. After lunch, we'll head out to shoot more. The workshop will officially end at 4pm.

Workshop Requirements:

  • a basic understanding of photography and the exposure triangle

  • a camera with manual settings, ideally with a prime lens no longer than 35mm (or equivalent)

  • shooting film is an option, but reviewing photos the same day may be challenging—your choice

  • a laptop for photo review (or we can use mine)

  • a good pair of walking shoes

What is included:

  • Guided photo walks and opportunities for one-on-one sessions for optimal learning
